The Duties of an Au Pair in Holland:
Au Pair Program:
- Furnished bedroom in host families home
- €300 – €340 (Euro) in pocket money per month

Requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 26 yrs.
- Should have some child care or baby-sitting experience.
- Have a genuine love of children, patience, flexibility and independence.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (preferably)
- Be of good character and in good health.
- Have at least Grade 10/11/12
- Be able to cycle (ride a bicycle)
Process:
- Contact one of our agents to help you with your profile
- Then we hand your profile out to families
- If a family likes your profile they will contact you by phone, e- mail or Skype
- Before the phone call takes place, you will also receive the profile of the family, so you will get an overview and be able to prepare yourself for the conversation.
- After one or more calls, the family will decide to invite you to be their Au Pair.
- Then you will receive a placement confirmation to make it official.
- We will start your visa application immediately!
Tourist info
You can visit lots of art museums and see paintings by the famous Netherlands artists like Van Gogh,Rembrandt, Mondriaan etc. There are lots of monuments to see but the castles are the best. Visit the Majestic Loo Palace or step inside the gates of the Muiderslot. Remember Holland has lots of windmills,tulips and cheese!
Responsibilities/Duties
The Au Pair position consists of childcare related duties, such as playing with the children, making their meals and cleaning the kitchen, cleaning up their rooms, doing their laundry, walking with them to school or activities, etc. Beside this, an Au Pair may be asked for small housekeeping duties such as helping out with the washing, shopping, or light cleaning in the house. The working hours for an Au Pair are at least up to 30 hours per week.
